I sense that your comment is on this latest, woke iteration? I was a young woman breaking into my career, my boss made a pass at me, I turned him down, and for years after that he said things to try to make me look like an idiot at meetings. It was 1988, and I didn't think anyone else would hire me as an urban planner if I complained. We all knew each other. I thought up what work-arounds I could to get by in the office. I never did get promoted, so I figured out that I could do the things I wanted to accomplish in my career if I did them through my professional organization for free. (Nobody expects that. :)) I think this woman is an idiot. What this has to do with experiences like mine is beyond me. I have sons, and it is hard to imagine that all this doesn't make it even harder to be a young man than in previous generations.
