  1.  @philhampson2120  A public servant could honestly earn millions, but Biden's actions in Ukraine are suspect. A public servant has to take a lot of measures to avoid the appearance of impropriety. That is a separate thing from raising a son to be an entitled knob.

  4. ​ @ArtemMuze  Same here. Not entirely, as they became wealthy when I was a teenager and my immigrant grandparents, who came to the new country with nothing were, by then, middle class. Of my peers, the ones that got new BMWs for their sixteenth birthday did not turn out (on average) to be anyone worth knowing. Some of the others with better values went on to greatness in the arts, commerce or government. In my family, discrediting the poor would have been tangibly us. I think that was excellent, as it kept some from becoming idiots.

  6.  @julies9629  Also, some parents of humble origins think more of how they want their children to have the things they didn't without thinking of how that may shape their ethics. Others do consider these things.
