I am fortunate that my grandparents were able to move to Canada, work hard, and make better lives for themselves. I wish that any family with could find those opportunities.

@lindaslack6871 I worry about what will happen to these people. Men, women, and children like us. We played a role in destabilizing their home countries. I hope that something changes.

freedom warrior, Including the kids? As a person and mother, no woman would choose this for her children. The "reporter" can't be objective and spout this tripe. People do what they do for a reason. Who would buy this as journalism?

@misshlengiwe6356 I would love to talk to them and learn what led them precisely to this place and what they plan to do next. If they can plan. I would be frightened for my children in such a precarious position?

I wonder if any of them are related to the toung Phillipino gig workers who staff our Alberta home health care workers. I don't think they are nurses, but they were fast, kind and hard workers. One in particulat was lovely and kind to us? Maybe she saw us just as a person? As my mum and I see her>.

@KB-ke3fi Because they were needed for the national economy, which was more tied to geography. It worries me because I met several illegal alien workers. In my work, I learned that, although they were victims in the local economy, it still looked like an opportunity to them.

This is a compelling story, ABC. Is it more important than our rights to free speech under the First Amendment? Why cover this and not cover what is going on with Julian Assange's extradition to the States? Do most of us even understand what we are losing if it goes unnoticed by most Americans?
