@deborah6298 He is in politics and does it way more than other politicians I can think of. They only do us a little good if they can last. Or they are no good at all.

@skyebarkschat Talk is cheap.
4
@WarIsNotGreen At least he emerged from being under the thumb of AIPAC.
3
Especially now that he has taken a position on foreign affairs, @deandeo0369. I am glad he is there.
2
@grth-is6xv That's show biz.

I have boycotted Wal Mart for decades but did not think of Amazon this way. I have my fingers crossed for your bill, Senator Sanders.
2
@skyebarkschat Right. He is one of only two politicians I have ever contributed my meagre campaign funding to. I have regrets.
2
I want to get to work now. Pro bono.
2
Maybe not always, but well, @mschickie007.

Thank you for this. I have heard the argument that this would not happen again because it was exposed. Why wouldn't it? "The Case for the Corporate Death Penalty" was an eye-opener for me. We need to fix this.
1
No, Happy, EGH181. It seems like a partial victory. (I still don't think it would be pleasant to work at Amazon.)

I am not sure how the fact that we are all going to grow old, die and rot away is relevant, as it could be used as an argument to make positive use of the short time that we have or party like it's 1999, Tessmage Tessera. I am not a big cryer, but I shed tears when the Democrats eliminated him as a candidate in 2016. We must suport Sanders.

If our sanctions about the blatant murder do not include stopping arms sales to Saudi Arabia, we are blind to our impact on the world. We are complicit in the Yemen travesty.

I am glad that Bernie Sanders has taken more or a stance in foreign affairs and wonder what caused the shift?

Abstract and anecdotal; I interviewed last week to become an American citizen like my sons. The woman who questioned me had nails painted like American flags. She asked me why don't I bring my 87-year-old mother who has dementia and other pre-existing conditions to the States rather than spend most of my recent time in Canada caring for her. After I replied, "She could live another ten years, and we can't afford the medical insurance," the interview turned on me. I didn't lie. Even though I was willing to swear that I would defend America over other countries, it would be untrue to say that on a mass scale life is better in America. I shook her hand on my way out and it felt like a dead fish.

@wendycooper5119 His domestic policy could have come from my brain; it seemed so on target. I wish he had made more of an exit statement. It seemed important enough to risk his career. Except for that damn owl of Minerva. I don't say I am right, exactly. It's a new day.
1
@wendycooper5119 My regrets were because I later suspected him of being under AIPAC control, not that duo citizenship is evidence of extreme values. Either he has changed, or I was mistaken. I am glad he has made his statements of late. He is an excellent minority opinion.

You may mean contact your state representative and hope you are no on their "pay no mind" list. Worth a try Lorrie C.
1
I got it before you even thought of it, Raul Magana. I see Bernie Sanders as a potential keystone.
1
Raul Magana, I see. In that case, we probably got it around the same time.

I was shocked to recently learn that we still prohibit people from Islamic countries from travelling to the US. I was told by a woman whose mother is Jordanian.
