  1. Excellent point on "a pill for every ill." I had a heart attack and initially agreed to take 6 different drugs for a year, and I am being told I will be more likely to have another heart attack unless I take them for the rest of my days. I would prefer to take nothing, and am even prepared to accept some percentage of acceptable risk, but hope I can find a doctor who will give me more of an answer that respects my health decision to look into it.
