  1. Once, I met a woman in the waiting room of a rescue that had taking the dogs back when it didn't work out. I don't know a thing about her life except that she was covered with bruises, crying and leaving town. She had a lot of the typical dog indulgences and toys. All I could think of to say was, "Such a cute dog will find a home quickly." Later, I wondered if the woman would find a good home.
