There were full-time officers and security teams at my sons elementary and high schools in the suburbs. There may have been things not visible to me...I could not see danger at a level that warranted full-time police. I wonder if this also applies to children of Hispanic immigrants, this being over-policed? In my sons Arizona schools some 40% of the students were Hispanic, and I am pretty sure that this has increased since. I still do not understand why the elementary school playground looked like social apartheid. High school was somewhat better.
