Wow. I have thought that there seem to be a lot more mass shootings. I didn't realise the extent of the increase. I wonder what it is exactly? Good analysis. Thank you.

Thank you for this, and thank you for including a discussion of suicide. My sister shot herself two years ago. I believe that her crisis might have passed and she might be alive if she had not been able to easily buy a gun in only a few days. I wrote this a year ago and have changed my thinking. She had planned her death for at least a year, and would have found a different way.

Maybe this is correct. She could have found another way to do it. Looking back, I think that she may have methodically planned her death for up to year. This could be an emotional reaction to the fact that it is difficult to think of her driving her car out into the desert and blowing her head off. This has run through my mind now a thousand times. I do know for certain that I hate guns. On the other hand, why do people often call suicide hot lines right as they are killing themselves? I speculate that they must be feeling ambevilent.

My sister was not a usual person. After, I realized that there were many guns in her art. I am glad that you mentioned this because, no...I do not actually think she would not have killed herself without a gun at all. It is confusing that I will never understand, can never understand because it is just unknowable. I just realized that I have thrown every vague possibility into the mix, hoping to get around this. This has been an obsfucation. I feel calm with this realization. Two years elapsing has also been helpful. Glad you mentioned this. Thank you.
