  1. I think that you are correct, Winston Posegate. France's system is a combination of public and private and some consider it the world's best. In the States, medicine is like the banking system. Basically, taken over by pirates with the cooperation of our corrupt lawmakers.

  3. I agree, Ben Larsen. I once found myself in the States without health insurance. I knew I needed some labwork so went online to check prices. When I said that I wanted a particular lab because they charged less. They sent my tests to a different lab, and I paid half the cost. Although what we have now is not a free market, maybe in some small ways consumers becoming their own advocates could be popularized?

  4. There are laws against US citizens buying their drugs from Canadian pharmacies, where prices are about half, for example. That is hardly an example of free enterprise.
