I have listened to many Jordan Peterson videos over the last week, and they are profound. I now realise that a lot of what he says is grounded in Christianity, but he throws in a vast knowledge of many things. It is beautiful.

Those who don't care about the crowd choose obscurity. It doesn't usually take striving. I wish for clarity.

I am glad that she decided to attend graduate school in spite of the naysayer. I am impressed that she also got a lot of her vast knowledge through self directed reading at the library.

He is a much quieter person. Holds his own. Apt use of the term "harpy."

This seems to be the Bahai faith. It seems similar to Unitarianism In that it accepts elements from different religions.

I have nothing against athiests, but Richard Dawkins is intolerant of religion. This seems incorrect.

To say that traits, based on correlational and other procedures are highly predictive is powerful. I had never thought of just using technology and large data sets to find things and correlate them as something with the power to open doors we have never thought about before today. It will generate the research questions in the forms of answers we figure out how to find. Wow. Don't laugh if this has been apparent to you all along. Or if I am actually making it up as being so fantastic. Will sleep on it.

I don't know your context? The Muslims I know here in Edmonton do not need this kind of talking to from Jordan Peterson, as they seem to have developed a lovely Mosque community that looks out for it's people with a vibrant social network.

I read this book and then sent a copy to each of my sons. Excellent analysis and advice. Next "Maps of Meaning."

I am curious about what "futile second rate emotions" are and why Jung would have associated these with the feminine?

You have to admit, Bretton Ferguson, jazz hands are an original response.

This is a good question for a discussion of "Beyond Good and Evil," Rahell Omer. I am in the middle of this book and am finding it dense reading too. Some paragraphs, I find myself reading several times and something is added to my understanding each time. It is an incredible book.

Also, being drug-free eating healthy and doing yoga every day is useful. I have been getting a lot read lately, Power to Truth. It is best not to retain information from people who don't maintain a consistent, rational thread from one moment to the next because they are thoughtless and cruel. Don't believe everything you read. Some things, are better forgetten.

You are correct, Power to Truth.

This would be valuable if two people were looking one another in the eye to see if they could understand the other, regardless of if they ultimately could or could not.

So, he reads a particularly insightful sentence and changes it to be more precise and then compares the meaning? That would be a way of honing in thought and using language with precision.

It seems as if you have taken the trouble to set the stage so this will work. You are a very smart dude. Thank you. (Plus the conveyer of this wisdom is from my home town. I am not used to listening to lectures in my own accent. I lost it enough after living in the States for so long that it sounds like an accent to me, even though it is my original way of speaking. For some reason, I am really enjoying that. Bonus.)

timwins31 Thank you. It was a question, not an assumption.

Did he move from UBC? It seems absurd that this is even a thing being discussed in the Senate. Jordan Peterson speaks well.

Thank you for recommending this book. 100 pages in, I agree with Dr. Peterson on the quality of the writing. Excellent. In the context of this important book, how is Hugh Mungus relevant? (I have to admit that I find this funny on a grade 8 level. In my younger days, men introduced themselves to me as "Rick Shaw" and "Ron Cabana" which I found quite funny.)

Muriel Brown, I think these are the same qualities that make his sometimes controversial comments believable as compassionate and objective. I find his writing excellent.

I have sons, Samantha LOve. They too had struggles growing up?
