@BS_Profile That seems wrong. My point was that you should think through what the relationship would be like. If you want me to work every Saturday to prove that you are dominant, you want a different woman. This test would inform both of us, and you would fail. If you need me to do it because the work sometimes requires it, I might be perfect. It's mutual respect I referred to. I clearly understand what my ideal employer or man will be like.

@BS_Profile In my dreams of the ideal, we would meet one another's tests, standards, and preferences. If you don't have these, why bother?

@thehonestguitarist6543 I'm not interested in that. I want to love, respect, and support someone who feels the same about me. You might be a better man for a relationship if you had fewer assets to concern you more than wanting the joy that a loving relationship could bring. Marriage is only for some. Not for you, maybe. I imagine loving someone enough to love them until I die. On the other hand, I haven't been on a date in ten years because I wanted to be single. It's an aspiration. Wish me luck.

@MikeEHY I am skeptical that these men will find love.
3
@ I am like that while needing a lot of alone time.

You're a psychologist? That sure isn't how I envision being in love with a man. I am a woman.
2
I want that, too. It is possible.

@georgemubanga1878 Except don't make her work Saturday to assert your dominance if you don't need that. Or she will quit. If you really need that, and it isn't a case of you being a lousy employer or bad planning (unless it's an occasional mistake), and she cares, she will do it. If you care, you will be reasonable. You are being tested too. If you can see it wouldn't be sustainable, both of you should reject it from the outset.
2
@ogzbyrktr1 No. That's love. You should feel miserable, but handle it with as much grace as possible if it's unrequited. You will feel better when you get busy with life.

@JCLightbringer She promised to work every Saturday but decided she couldn't stand him over it.

@limitlesssky3050 Why is that a problem?

Why do we do it?

@cynthiaschell7246 :) How does anyone find love these days?
1
@Whatever_Happy_People If they do, it could change everything.

@touch0ph1001 What if she does?
1
@andersnielsen6044 , I never said that. Exactly. Would you make fun of me for being a Universalist? That's how I think of people.
1
@deadtreebark This is where I came in. I hope to find a man who will love and respect me. You must start there to pass the test of any woman worth having. I wish you luck.

@MoneySlanger Do you mean "Separate the wheat from the chaff?"
1
@kiddytube3915 Do you make them take an oath?
1
@pbonfanti This applies more to caring for innocent children than anything else.
1
@ogzbyrktr1 You wouldn't if it were one of the many other forms of love, but in the case of romantic love, there would be an initial disappointment phase that they didn't choose you. That's nature's design, as it makes us move on. To find someone who might be right.

@ogzbyrktr1 I meant a Greek philosophical system that describes the different forms of love. Search on "Greek forms of love." The one discussed was eros. The highest form of enlightenment, some believe, is "agape," the ability to love all things in people. I will never get there.
