I would agree with Aristotle, except that if one regards the masses as rude and unlearned does not emphasize that something can be learned by every person and that it is a noble thing to teach other people. Also, the definition of excellence seems narrow. I prefer Taylor's view. I wish that philosophy 101 had gone the extra mile and discussed Taylor with Aristotle. Thanks for doing it here.
