I always learn from these but found this one especially illuminating. China is planning to invest in China with its silk road initiative. From the wording in the introduction to their plan for Africa, they will do it to free the continent from colonial interests. If that is their real intention, it could free Africans from France. (It seems doubtful that America would state such a plan.) For me, this puts a new spin on that and on the attitude many in France have toward African migrants. This is the best channel on geopolitics I have seen. Thanks for filling in my knowledge of how the world works.

@rathalos1522 If they have accepted this exploitation, it is likely that it was their best opportunity at the time or their political systems are under foreign control. It looks like that may be about to change.

@rathalos1522 Look at how the US media portrays its interventionist wars. It is probably analogous. It seems likely that there is a lot of deliberate misinformation and a controlled press on this subject.
