  1.  @clc-gl4jn  Yeah, that’ll be a little hard when you’re all in the same country. The solution IMO is to stop corrupt policies, not separation because now you have two countries in one (if done properly). If they speak English and know the culture, which they do, then they are Americans.

  2.  @clc-gl4jn  No no no. Civil rights mandates equal treatment, it doesn’t give some people free handouts. The civil rights act worked quite well. Right now the main problem is that many are in poverty because big cities like LA are ruled by one party and do nothing but give out free money and call it a day, not fixing the problem. What they do isn’t civil rights, it’s just corruption. LBJ domestic policies were overall good and he was quite effective (mostly due to assassination and his ‘treatment’), it’s just he listened to his people on the top and took Americans to Vietnam like a fool. He did great good but also did lots of damage. Let’s be fair here.

  3.  @clc-gl4jn  The problem is government was totally ignoring the separate but equal clause and not being enforced. It was seen as a green light to separate other races into poorer conditions. Even if it was done right, it would be such a waste of taxpayer money to separate races into different places, it’s totally useless. The civil rights act forced governments to keep them in an equal position as everyone else. This is great for the economy and a happier country. The civil rights act also swayed against affirmative action because it forced equality. AA is not equality. The victim mentality you see today was not as much of a problem before. Before, there was too much government restrictions and segregation, which were all arbitrary, useless, and obnoxious. LBJ got rid of a decent amount of that which I think is good.

And honestly, all those cabinet members should have been fired, they were all warmongers. Unfortunately, even today politicians have the same mentality of war. We needed and still need a president who can stand up for him or herself. No more wars! Invading Cuba is a violation of their sovereignty, and Kennedy signed off on it. Pressure, no pressure, he signed off on it. He was definitely better than most, I’d agree on that, though. Most presidents after him, Johnson, kept starting more wars. It was ridiculous. Since FDR, every president were either starting wars, getting involved in wars, starting conflicts, etc. until Trump who stopped that trend, but even then there were still unnecessary missile strikes. I hope for democracy and peace, but we shouldn’t be putting our people in harms way and disturbing other countries. Kennedy could have been the anti-war president, but he wasn’t strong enough. And he should have known what they were doing was corrupt, he was in the senate for over 6 years before he was inaugurated. That’s my opinion at least.
