I want permanent Standard time, NOT permanent daylight time. The system Arizona and Hawaii has is perfect. I don’t want dark winters!!

@Faiaz Malekzadeh The dark mornings would kill me.

Patrick Kelly No, that’s a meme. Most likely he’s agreeing with you. Don’t get mad.

@rockintetster I was talking about brighter mornings, not literally making days longer. The time shift during the dead summer and winter is somewhat nice, but it’s absolutely not worth it. The periods when the time changes are so unhealthy and “life has nuisances” is not an excuse to add more nuisances for stupid reasons. Besides, standard time is supposed to have noon and midnight match with solar noon/midnight. It’s also healthier to have brighter mornings, which is important for winter (if we are talking about having no time changes). Go wake up earlier instead of having people put up with screwing our circadian rhythms.

@henrykennedy1120 School ends before 5 pm in my area. It’s better to have brighter mornings so that when you wake up it’s actually sunny or soon to be sunny.

@henrykennedy1120 Is that during winter? DST is only during the summer, so sunrise would be at 8:30 ish for our area if DST was during the winter. School also ends at 3 pm for us. I will admit that I partly support standard time year round because I don’t like mornings in general, and having to wake up in darker mornings during the winter with permanent DST would be very unpleasant. I get the whole deal with standard time in the summer being somewhat of a problem, but to me it’s not worth it and it’s mostly regional anyways. Also, standard time is centered around solar noon and solar midnight at 12:00 respectively, which makes more sense.

@henrykennedy1120 I see, you’re closer to the equator. Really I just want the time changes to end honestly

@henrykennedy1120 Note: I’m in SoCal, so Pacific Time
