No Chinese citizen would want to say negative things about the government even if they hate it, for obvious reasons. Remember the Tiananmen Square Massacre? Or the fact that they are interning Uyghur muslims into concentration camps? Yet everyone likes to pretend that this isn’t happening and that China is poor and needs help. China is not poor. Their government is a disgrace to the world.

  12. Flashstar 123 I’m not fully blaming China, but the fact that they are building more coal plants and then saying they are doing everything they can despite their mass wealth is disingenuous and ridiculous. Also, I’m pretty sure the first guy was making a joke.

The reason China is blamed for everything is because their government is atrocious, but it is a little unfair I understand. But China needs to step up their game along with the rest of the world.

The thing is, the government is not trying hard enough to end poverty. They are centralizing their wealth in small areas which is wrong.

I said “one of”, I understand some countries are worse, but not many. “Developing country” yeah okay sure. China can claim they are a developing country but really they have more than enough money to fix their poverty in their country. They are the second largest economy in the world. Giving them more money would literally do nothing, they would spend it on military. They are considered developing because that’s how they like it.

  35. Erik Dodge I think the main thing is people. It’s up to people to lower their carbon footprint. Recycle, use solar energy, buy less, use public transportation or bike when possible, use an electric car, etc. All those go first, and then power generation goes next. I wish we could do both at the same time, but right now the government is not cooperating and everything is crazy so they probably forgot about it too. Cars are the biggest pollutant, that should be the first thing to be revamped. I’m doing what I can and hoping for the best.
