  2. Just a Jumbled Reviewer I agree except on electric cars. People still need to drive cars, and electric cars are vastly more environmentally friendly than gas cars, as long as you don’t keep buying cars every 3 years. You can’t convince all people to not drive cars, and cars are the biggest polluters in the world. So he definitely is helping along with his employees.

  3. Johanna Geisel I don’t know about you but Scandinavian countries has a restricted form of capitalism and it’s been going great. Like really well. So I think it’s possible to create something better without switching our entire economic systems. When countries try the government just falls apart and turns into a dictatorship in most cases. So restricted capitalism I think is a better idea.

  4. Tom Nicholas It was a stupid joke made by him on Twitter relating to Bolivia. Tesla has no relation with Bolivia and mines battery materials usually in places like Australia, so it’s not like he actually wants to coup anyone.

  5. Johanna Geisel Fascism is a meaningless word, there is no pure definition. But I understand where you’re getting at. I’ve watched him, I mean he is our president. He is unprofessional and annoying, but his policies from what I’ve seen aren’t that crazy really. He’s said stupid stuff, but nothing overtly racist or anything like that, and I tried finding them. Policy wise he’s just another president. What are you accusing him of and what is your proof? Because I couldn’t find much. The only thing is I think his immigration policy is too harsh, but he isn’t blocking all immigration, and democrats have been asking for a border wall for a while until recently. This is all a huge overreaction imo. We didn’t elect a “fascist.”

Kaden E I did not agree with Trump trying to take away protection of transgender people, however, the decision has been blocked by the Supreme Court and it’s not like they don’t have rights to healthcare like you mention. When Trump suggested delaying the election, he’s just trying to distract the media. He does this a lot and it works. One time he said something really dumb and then changed one of the asylum rules soon after. Nobody talked about the changed asylum rules as a result. He’s not going to delay the election, don’t worry about that. Despite what the media says, the feds never actually left the courthouse. People were vandalizing and throwing Molotov cocktails at a federal courthouse for no reason. The feds defended the courthouse. When someone, for example, through a paint bomb at a courthouse, they might step out of their boundaries to arrest that person. The cars are often undercover cop cars, but that’s meaningless because the officers are wearing cameo and clearly marked. Trump never actually sent the feds to the states, they stayed in federal property. “Fascism, oh no!” Dear lord. I don’t know what you were trying to imply with the far-right.

  14. Unknown Soldier It is illegal that Tesla tried to restrict unionization but if the workers do unionize I expect working conditions to get much worse and slower due to corruption. Elon Musk didn’t really risk the employees that much either during COVID because when he opened there weren’t that many cases in the county and California gave the green light. Vigorous social distancing measures were also put in place so he definitely doesn’t deny the existence of it. I understand your points but they are kind of meaningless at this point.

  15. S. A. Corruption within the union. Happens to many companies, where top officials of the unions don’t listen to the workers they were supposed to represent. Look it up. Tesla also pays above average in its area for both the Buffalo factory and Fremont factory. They can’t just unionize because like 6 people out of thousands want to unionize. You need a very large group and then I will be convinced. But especially with the media outright lying about conditions in the factories and then getting caught does not make me convinced. And while unions are good, they need to be revamped.

Trans athletes have to compete with people of the same biological sex, otherwise trans woman would demolish everyone and win, which is what’s happening. I don’t know much about the homeless situation, I would like to know more about that. Nothing you mentioned had anything to do with healthcare by the way. If I have gender dysphoria and want to change gender, then from the looks of it, I have as many rights as everyone else. The countries you mentioned are capitalist to the core, definitely not socialist. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

  31. Johanna Geisel I think the problem is more government mismanagement than the economic system. Changing everything causes issues itself, so I think the best solution is to have young, intelligent politicians run the government who actually know what they are doing.

  33. Johanna Geisel So then who runs the company? Who ultimately makes the decisions? Who finances it? It’s already hard for a small group of people to make a decision like what movie to watch. Having 10,000 workers agree on something all the time doesn’t sound very possible, which is why we have executives. As for the people who run the companies, they can’t even use most of the money they earn. It’s all in stock, which is what they use to control the company. The government is supposed to add restrictions to prevent companies from abusing their workers. If that doesn’t happen, it’s government mismanagement. I don’t see what else you can do.

  35. Johanna Geisel I understand, but I’m still confused how you can innovate. If everyone has the same amount of capital, how can you innovate? What are the incentives of innovation? If there’s no reward for innovation, it will slow down substantially. Why do we have to turn all these corporations into mini-democracies when you have the government? If the corporation is abusing its workers, the government is supposed to punish that company. If a company is being anti-competitive and becoming a monopoly, the government is supposed to prosecute them. With that, you fixed most of the problems with capitalism. Not all, but most. If the government doesn’t, then it is a failure of government. Most of these governments are democracies. If you turn these corporations into democracies, they will become like the government. Crony do-nothings. If people actually vote responsibility and have decent people run, we would all be in a better situation. Conditions have improved dramatically over the centuries, and we never had to change our economic system. If you look at labor unions, they too have executives. And they too get corrupt. We don’t need more governments. We need to have as little as possible, and the ones that we do have, vote responsibly. City governments, state governments, and the federal government.

No, we would have ended up with a Trabant, not an electric car. In capitalism, a company would have needed to disrupt the market with an electric car and then take over. But nobody did, because barely anyone ever thought about EVs at that time. Yes there is innovation. Look what you posted this comment on. I think it is obvious we are making decent progress with capitalism. It has lots of flaws, like most things, but what you are talking about has never worked in history. I think our best option is regulated capitalism, but the government is too stupid to do it correctly. And now you want the government to do everything. No thank you!

And I am saying that some articles published were proven, I’m not saying all of them. I haven’t seen any articles recently either. I hope workers there are doing good.

I need more proof, When it comes to athletics, it’s all about how their body is built not gender. If you combine both sexes in races for example, women would constantly lose. I can’t change biology, so we are stuck with that system. If you switch genders, it’s not going to change much. I have nothing against these countries, honestly their systems are pretty similar to ours, just with lower populations. Our biggest issues are drug prices and healthcare prices, which are outrageous at the moment. If that’s what you’re getting at then fine. I think I will understand your point more if you define “social democracy.”
