There have heaps of complaints that American broadcasters called bathurst 1000 a NASCAR event which it isn't and they called it the Bathurst 500 the American commentators had their point of view which they never have no racing knowledge at all i have been watching bathurst since 1977 and i never EVER missed an event of it the Seven Network did a wonderful broadcast of the event i watched the event in UHD Ultra High Defenition the picture was crystal clear and i was listening to it in 5.0 surround sound it sounded like if your'e really there its a tradition in Australia we had a Bathurst BBQ It was the best race i ever seen. it goes to show how PROUD that i am to be an Australian born and home bread NASCAR for me is so boring just seeing cars going around in a circle i rather see cars go for at least 6km around the track. 1984 would be the best bathurst race where all the cars had a pile up on the start i remember that event very well as i was living in sydney at the time i was aged 17 its good to see you again ian all the best cheers. In Australia we can screen an event like Bathurst without getting blocked
