  1. IRAN could've made nukes many times in the past. However the leader says it's unholy, it's unislamic. We can't produce weapons of mass destruction, weapons that kill large number of people. is this noble of him, or stupid??? This is what Khamenei has said: (it's not exact quote/i'm paraphrasing) for 20 years we've been challenged in regards to nuclear energy. why have the enemies giving us a hard time? it is just us in the world that endeavours to develop nuclear energy? they (enemies) claim that they are afraid of nuclear weapons. They are lying. they know we're not after nuclear weapons. the american intelligence community has stated many times that iran is not seeking nukes. twice in recent months they have confessed that iran has no intention of nukes. it's the truth it's not because we are afraid of them, it's because of our beliefs. The purpose of nuclear weapons is for mass killing ( i disagree somewhat on this in the vast majority of cases), we oppose mass killing, it's against religion/faith, against islam. whether it's atomic or chemical, or other stuff. during the wars at the time of the prophet, it was ordered to be careful not to shut water access to the public. in those times the movement against the public/masses was the shutting of water supply we don't want to proceed down the nuclear route because of islamic teachings, otherwise if we had intentions of making nukes, the enemies could not stop us. Likewise right now they haven't been able to stop our nuclear energy production, and will not be able to do so in the future, either. Had we wanted to develop nukes, we could've done, and they know it too. thus the excuse of nuclear weapons is a lie. they know there's something else in progress. they know the movement toward nuclear energy industry is actually the key to scientific progresses in many parts of our country. this is what they don't want.
