@tourmaline1810 in landmass yea but a empire is more then just its landmass. I'd say that the strongest empire to ever exist was either the Spanish or the Dutch for their control of the worlds oceans

@tourmaline1810 that's also subjective so I dont know why and i never claimed it to be facts anyway. But both the Dutch and Spanish have a greater history then is known. The British controlled a lot of land but it was the Spanish who discovered it all and the Dutch who controlled most of the trading routes when they became independent from Spain.
