(10:55) What Mr. Slick Lawyer didn't mention is that out of the 10.25 cents for sales tax, Springfield gets 6.25 cents, Cook County–where lots of suburbanites live–receives 1.75 cents, and the R.T.A (i.e., public transportation that also serves suburbia) get 1 cent. This leaves a mere 1.25 cents exclusively for Chicago (despite Chicago being a dumping ground for housing projects, Section 8, homeless shelters, cheap apartments, etc.). Our sales tax for groceries is 2.25% (big deal). 🙄🙄 Our regular sales tax is not 25%! 🙄🙄 Dude, get your facts straight! 😡😡

Southern Illinois gets $2.81 cents for every dollar that it sends to Springfield, and Central Illinois gets $1.87. Meanwhile, Cook County only gets 90 cents back (despite being a dumping ground). What have cities been getting "more and more" of (for generations)? Housing projects, Section 8, homeless shelters, cheap apartments, etc. Would you admit that you live in splendid isolation? Get your facts straight! 😡😡

It receives $2.81 for every dollar that it sends to Springfield. Cook County?
