Southern Illinois gets $2.81 cents for every dollar that it sends to Springfield, and Central Illinois gets $1.87. Meanwhile, Cook County only gets 90 cents back (despite being a dumping ground). What have cities been getting "more and more" of (for generations)? Housing projects, Section 8, homeless shelters, cheap apartments, etc. Would you admit that you live in splendid isolation? Get your facts straight! 😡😡

"I wish we could make chicago a city state..." Really? Be careful what you wish for. For every dollar that it sends to Springfield, it receives $1.87. Southern Illinois? It receives $2.81 for every dollar that it sends to Springfield. Cook County? It only receives 90 cents from Springfield (despite being a dumping ground for housing projects, Section 8, homeless shelters, cheap apartments, etc.). Yeah, we sure do "control the state." 🙄🙄
