Have you ever written such a snide comment about Detroit, Baltimore, Memphis, Newark, New Orleans, St. Louis, East St. Louis, Cleveland, K.C., D.C., L.A., Inside Job City, Philadelphia, Little Rock, Milwaukee, Oakland, Gary, Mobile, Jackson, Camden, Birmingham, Flint, Louisville, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Buffalo, etc.? Do you live in a rural area, or a N.I.M.B.Y. suburb? Are you smug because you don't live in a dumping ground for housing projects, Section 8, homeless shelters, cheap apartments, etc.? We can't all live in splendid isolation, right? What state do you live in?

  3. Don't worry: D.C. hates Illinois. For as long as I can remember (i.e., 1980), D.C. has been giving Illinois one of the very worst deals. New Mexico (last I checked): the BEST deal from D.C. Iowa: the 33rd-best deal from D.C. (including D.C.). Illinois: the 49th-best deal from D.C.
