  1.  @jimmythegentconway8690  First of all, the 2020 census showed that Chicago's population was almost exactly the same as in 1990. Compare that to other Midwestern cities. Second, during the last decade, how many times did I read/hear that Chicago was losing/hemoraging population? However, the 2020 census showed–much to the disappointment of the haters–that Chicago actually gained population during the 2010s. Third, last I checked, 7/10 of the ten-biggest-American cities are losing population. For the top 30, 21 are losing population! Therefore, IF Chicago is indeed losing population, it certainly has plenty of company right now. "...everybody is leaving Chicago..." How do you know? Where do you live? If you don't live in Chicago, then what makes you such an expert? Just because the haters (e.g., New York) keep saying so?
