As a fellow Saffa I'm not surprised that there are some of my countrymen who seemingly, like yourself, are indoctrinated by fake news. It's heartening though to see that the others are able to do their own research and to come up with more logical conclusions.

@michaelkatz275 no, the big tragedy is that all you Ukrainian /US/EU supporters are suffering from a severe case of cognitive dissonance. You can clearly (or maybe not) see that Ukraine is losing it's footing and the western 'powers' (oxymoron) are completely inept and totally unable to lend any further support to their pet project. Yet, you continue denying the Russia clearly has the upper hand and is flourishing in every respect. It must really hurt and I'm here to tell you that I have a lot of empathy for your plight.

Clearly the western narrative is based on trying to project an all powerful Ukraine and a pathetically ineffectual Russian army. Let's agree to disagree on this matter right now! I'm a Soviet era military veteran and I believe I'm intelligent and experienced enough to know how the west (US / CIA), as in the past, spins the narrative, for whatever nefarious reasons, to justify it's over-involvement in a lost cause. Let's wait and see rather than indulge in a game of BS tennis. @andrew30m if Zelensky keeps throwing troops into the cauldron for the Russians to grind through, then it will take a lot longer. On top of that the Russians want to limit civilian casualties unlike the west that will go into a battle with balls to the wall.
