... this is a tough one...... we definitely wish them hte best in this experienment of theirs. on that note.... how do we get the good parts of this in america? ( the libraries, parks, hospitals, water access) ..... not the suspension of constitutional rights. .... even with the "effectiveness" of that mega prison and sweeping of the street of gangs...

its almost like individual actions are what matter ... a lot. all the individuals that take that extra flight, all the individuals that when given carbon saving stoves choose to still burn fuel inefficiently after being instructed. and don't do that thing where the left says " individual action is not a silver bullet" thing.. of course its not. its a very small percentage of the bigger picture. the key to getting people to commit to individual actions is the paradigm shift in perspective. the3 collective action of the individual actions. the sin tax is exactly that , a license to DO the sin. the very fact that people are ok with committing the "sin" but at a little extra cost is the very problem. this is the mentality that individual responsibility& accountability aims to resolve. it doesn't matter what program, agency, committee, technology is made or implemented if individuals will just do what they want regardless.
