  1. 1 - the threat is humans... it is always humans. anthropomorphizing AI is not what is happening... we simply SEE the HUMAN BEHIND the product. the matrix is a better example than terminator. AI is becoming so ingrained into our "reality" that it will become an invisible hand... THAT is the terror. the black box controlling things for who knows who, with who knows agenda ( definitely capitalist agendas for their own power, but also .. what else? genocide of who? destruction of what?) stop conflating robots and AI.... the rumba is a robot with a small task... the AI that is harvesting data for an unknown entity to do with what they please,,, that human .. that corporation lead by a human board... THAT is the threat. pro-ai guy is simply wrong... French peasantry worked only 50% of the times. they worked SIGNIFICANTLY less than we do today. AI , driven by corporation will not give us a universal leisure class, that is simping for corporations plain and simple. AI-optimism is dangerous.

  3. 2 - everyone has been personally effected by AI. the algorithms that are playing games with the american stock market is an insane threat to world economic platform. in that alone the entire world has been effected. then comes the massive data collection projects, then the discriminatory practices corporations use to classify people with that data. AJ hit it on the head, AI WILL further the wage gap. the unethical uses of AI are FAR more dangerous than the ethical uses. again... PEOPLE are the issue with AI application. i didn't trust humans before AI ... and certainly do not trust them with AI. unless we get hard-HARD regulations on the capitalistic use of AI... it is a high probability to drive us down the corporate cyberpunk route instead of the solarpunk route.
