  1. this is not a paradox, it is a lack of understanding the rules behind his nose growth. lets look at the evidence of if his nose grows when he lies. what is a "lie". the issue is not a paradox, it is a incorrect understanding of the conditions. a quick search brings up my exact concern.   4. there is no INHERENT meaning. we all just have to accept meaning as we see it, create it, as it exists around us in the subjective way that it exists. accept that it exists, not accept as in agree with.

  5. my issue with the hedonic treadmill is the idea that {the thing, the situation} actually brings that happiness scale UP. lets say base happy is 5 .... even that million dollars IS NOT going to bring happiness to a 6. the people that think that way are simply in error about gauging their happiness, IMO. people think that the jump from a 5 to 6 is linear... when in all reality it requires EXPENENCIAL, and FUNDEMENTAL change, not simply momentary change. people think that NOVELTY will bring more happiness, but it is only paradigm shifts that can change the scale of happiness. and then taking things for GRANTED can se balance the scale of happiness. IMO.

  6. the coast line paradox is only a verbal paradox. what is a "coast line" anyway. what is a "length" there are a ton of ways the measure a coastline. hey i can just as easily say that the length of the british coast line is simply "ONE COAST LINE" thats my measurement. it is one of the thing "coast line". on on the opposite side it could be who knows how many Planck units lets say: 1quetta to the power of 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  7. i think the definition of paradox had to be established in this video at its start. the Simpson's paradox is a definitional paradox. but this is a philosophy channel where the meaning pf paradox is not the same as a mathematical paradox. statistics and numbers can say whatever we want them to say. so paradoxes appear either by intentional coercion, an oversite, an error, or by not framing the the data with enough specificity.
