  1. surveillance capitalism, been a thing for a ling time now... and in America it escalated after 9/11. the Republicans and Righ-Wing "small government" folks wanted security over freedom. they let their fear take over, their bigotry, and they are ok with hurting everyone, including themselves, if they still hurt others more and get a profit.

  2. yes... control capitalism destroys the idea of " supply and demand" ... i say this all the time. but no one listens. laypeople still think that it is our demand that drives the "economy" ... it does not.... right now our power as the people is to not fall for marketing, not make purchases, to spend our money how WE directly need to, NOT how corps want us to, how algorithms want us to. our removal of our "demand" is how we deny the wealth-class the money that they use to market to us and convince us to buy more.
