  11.  @MrBurnsExcellent  that's a can of worms. 1) this administration is not the next administration Biden is not on the ballot. the ballot has a republican party controlled by white-christian-nationalists. with a figure head that wants to be dictator day one, to exterminate his political enemies, has militias itching to start a civil war, has legislators with the Project 2025 guidebook that is geared to deconstructing the constitution. the the democrates are the pparty for democracy. at worse the are the same old party they have been, at best maybe slightly more progressive than recent history. they are pretty milk toast though in general. 2) as for "middle class" we would first have to define what you mean by middle class. the term middle class is so warped that it means so many different things it is a virtually useless term. what is your criterial for "middle class", lifestyle, income, assets, savings and retirement, spending power, cost of living? --------------------------------------- if we want to talk about Biden though. and assuming what you mean as middle class. lowered unemployment (ARP has also led to the largest small business boom in history, with a record 19 million new business applications over the past three years ) disaster relief and home repair (economic stimulus bill passed , energy-saving home improvements like heat pumps, doors, windows, and insulation) debt relief (Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program, brings the total loan forgiveness approved by the Administration to over $175 billion for more than 4.8 million Americans) addressed some medical price gouging ( a cap on insulin at $35 a month )

  20. preliminary thoughts: 1) the uber rich are the problem 2) capitalism is the tool that the uber rich use to stir up their wealth and more problems 3) marketing is another tool that capitalists use to manipulate the consumers 4) the attack on education through campaign for anti-intellectualism is another tool used against people 5) religion is the next tool used against people - 6) and yes .. there is no question about there being SOME personal responsibility in this equation.... it is jsut a tiny part of the whole. counters to each of these are as follows: (1 socialism. a paradigm shift of not permitted in unhinged amount of wealth accumulation (2 socialism. a paradigm shift as to resource management, manufacturing, production, trade , is conducted (3 humanism. not manipulated people for the sake of profits but instead a degrowth paradigm to protect humanity , the environment, society , and rights (4 we NEED education. a balance of the humanities, with a massive campaign for critical thinking, STEM because we need to science more and better, and arts to keep the narrative of Human Mythos passed on. (5 we need to reign in the socio-political power of religion. relegate religious belief to personal belief ( were it belongs). no persons personal beliefs ought to supersede other people rights. - (6 since we are currently under a capitalist-hellscape.... we need to take as much responsibility for the things we DO have power over and use it against the current system, and towards building a system we want instead. a circular sustainable economy that supports its members to thrive responsibility. so yes.. forks need to boycott businesses with high prices, useless services, and bad practices. we need to save money and not "treat" ourselves when we can not afford it. we need to find non-capitalist related pleasures in life. we need to "punch up not kick down"

  27. the INDIVIDUALS sure have things in common. but the ideology they follow is not. they are ok with what their representatives support. KNOWING their is problem is not the same as FIGHTING the problem. like usual, these people really just want to be the petite bourgeoisie. that's why they still support capitalism; they think that THEY will be the ones with enough power to be above "people who don't work hard enough". unions are not NECESSARILY left or blue. financially the right is supposed to be "smart" with money, they are supposed to be "conservative" with money. but in reality their representatives have only made it easier for big business to thrive. but since the right believe s in trickle down economy and that "one day through merit I will be rich" they supported that nonsense, piece by piece, not realizing the bigger picture. then they are sold that it was the democrats doing it ( which they certainly had their hands in it, but not alone) the guy in this video even quoted trump on it. trump points his finger at hillary for not doing anything about it be in the same sentence says HE was using the same tricks. but the right doesn't see that as trump being a hypocrite but instead as hillary not fighting against the system!?!?! it's complete cognatic dissonance. at the end of the day where the left proposes fixes (ubi, universal housing,. universal medical, universal schooling, foodbanks, drug reform, prison reform, police reform) the right does not have answers and several people in this video admitted as much. but most importantly they CONTINUE voting for politicians that are actively harming EVERYONE and fighting any kind of fix the left proposes. they stick soooooo hard to conserve things that they really would rather keep the corruption then RISK becoming "communist" or " socialist" or any other 'scary' word theory were TRAINED to not like. the real difference: the right wants to have the power to generate profit as the petite bourgeoisie the left wants to have power to distribute fundamental human rights for the people to exist *and to be clear the generalization i am using here is an extremely broad "they" for ease of conversation.
