  11.  @BjornHarrier  personal meaningfulness... is not the same as meaningful to a society. -Color example is is meaningful to a person that their child is dressed in blue... it is ultimately meaningless... - Math example it is meaningless to say 5+3= 35 this equation lacks any significance... it is just wrong. and not wrong in your judgmental moralistic way. it is factually wrong by the derived principles of mathematics. -Astrology example as far as we can tell, being a taurus or a libra has no actual effect on anything. it is only "meaningful" on a personal level to people part of their personal narrative, not reality. -"politics" example it might be "meaningful" to call a fetus a baby... to call forced birth "good" ... but their is no intrinsic meaning or goodness is birth, pregnancy, or a fetus. it is a personal belief. - to make something actually meaningful it has to become grounded in reality. meaning is not just thought. it a transitional form of a thought BECOMING an action through intent. now if we are at the point that meaning is just a feeling.. .then there is no resolution because we are working on fundamentally different levels of reality. or at the least have 2 entirely different conversations. if your point is that some people like something other people don't... sure i agree... that is a terribly useless conversation. - do you get what i am saying here? - i believe people do not use quantifiers and qualifiers enough to express what they mean. they use words that they hold personal meaning with instead of ensuring to articulate their ideas with specificity and intention to not be vague. that is to say, if they intend to communicate with other. must people talk AT people and only care to express themselves, not to actually resolve things. - you misunderstand the word "meaningful". you prove my point when you say "you think they're wrong" .. no... what i think is meaningless... there are facts and there are things that are not facts.... you are using "wrong" is a non empirical way. i find a lot of people have issues with separating feels from facts. resolving existential nihilism, the fear of "meaninglessness" as defined how you seem to use it, feelings, inherent significance.
