  1. correct.... so much of the mass-internet is platform based. how often do people go to ACTUAL websites. we have an extremely curated online experience now. a huge issue is that it is curated in a grotesque corporate-profit-rage-bait-antiintellectual way, not for curiosity and knowledge. i thankfully do not use social media. even this platform... i make sure to curate it myself with subbing to what i want. looking up new topics as i see fit, culling subscriptions when they no longer suit me. i do not go to the feed youtube suggests except on very rare occasions. not doom scrolling. i even use the comment sections like a forum. i consider longer form videos to be open letters and i respond in like. i would love to be able to curate my youtube subscriptions myself. search exclusively in my subscriptions. make feeds for tech stuff, news, cooking, and keep them separated.

  5. often poor construction... sigh.... i really dislike how we have so many products on the market. we really need thoroughly tested and rated items. like AI, and computers, and the internet, and science in general... our daily technology has surpassed the laypersons "common sense"( ugh... i do not like the phrase). our education has not matched the technological boom. and it is going to cost us... a lot.
