  1.  @KarmicSlayer  nope.. just a question as to how you define it. like you said, it is different for everyone. see i would considera person independently did your own client sourcing, material sourcing, labor, accounting, etc. as working for themselves. and to go down the "self made" ath ( which you did not say) i would have to remove the client from the equation. interesting to see your take on the definition. im not sure i consider a sub contractor under an llc as working for yourself. i am just trying to get an idea as to what people mean when they say this kind of stuff. it is hard to reach across the aisle when people have completely different definitions. i appreciate your time. i will note this. ty

  3. 1) correlation is not causation. cause is hard to prove. 2) this consent freewill deal... i hear it.. but ... accepting that you voted for someone therefore they can do what they want... is just wrong. ( if i order a burger and they give me a chicken sandwich... i just don't accept it. ) i agree that people are disenchanted and beaten down from participating. people defer to "not participating" and think they are blameless, which is absurd. a non-choice is a choice for whatever the masses choose. being an educated voter takes a lot of work. but unfortunately we live lives that requires us to work to stay alive instead of working to better the world. that's why so many people tune out politics and just vote whoever amplifies their feelings. leaning into feelings is easy. examining feeling is hard. therefore the candidate that makes a person feel whatever feeling is overwhelming to them, gets the vote. i agree that Damocles' Sword is harder to enforce by the citizenry. i am all for cutting out a badlands for all the Anarchists and Libertarians that want to live stateless unregulated and lawless. they can be free to madmax it out there. - always good to have these ideas at the table for sure. it is an attempt to keep the authoritarians at bay ..... until the very same free thinkers vote in an authoritarian... horseshoe theory is very real.
