  9. i get the idea of calling sun oin leaves " the simplicity of it" but i would argue the beauty is the ACTUAL complicating it. -the evolution and history to birth life, our species and us individually. -the unfolding of the universe into its faces of chaos and entopy. the solidification of our planet, erosion, stacking, composting and chemistry that facilitated the soils, the fungi the plants the seeds that the tree was rooted in. -the sun that pierces our atmosphere, enough to warm us, enough to feed photosynthesis, gentle enough to not scorch every surface of the planet to a barren wasteland. -and for your senses , and frankly sensibilities, to take in the combination of the physical, the memories of knowledge, the combined efforts of so many before us. your very vitality and health to be in that moment. that COMPLEXITY, and KNOWING (knowing as in knowledge and in experiencing) that complexity is what is beautiful.

  10. overall...Great video. fantastic ending and lesson over all. a LOT of food for thought, if the target audience actual engages and sinks their teeth into these topics with genuine desire to find reality. i can see you understand the mind of people lost in "the glitch" "the simulation". ( it makes me want to shake them, because my brother is one of them, and i would shake him... if he wasn't a homeless nomad too paranoid to be near other people)

YOU are still the person accepting it.   15. learning nihilism is a journey to work through , was key for me. wallowing in nihilism is a really bad choice, IMO radical acceptance is a way to work through nihilism. once you accept the reality of inherent meaninglessness, you can put that aside and start discovering what meaning means to you and making that meaning come to fruition. ( other people choose the authority of a religion to get out of nihilism. this is often bad if it consumes you, detached you from reality, molds you into a hateful being in it's leaders likeness. this is no good... otherwise, if can just guides you into pro-social behavior, nothing like a little Santa Claus lie to make us feel better. we are story tellers. if the religious myths make you a better pro-social person, all the power to it. )

  17. i think most people with "seeker" minds, their minds so "open" that their brains have fallen out... are in real danger; and worse, they are corrupting others with it. COVID broke a lot of people. between getting sick and it effecting their brains, to extroverts being trapped with only themselves in quarantine and having to face their inner shadows, to introverts thriving but then being ripped back into the drudgery of bigoted manipulative corporatism, to the conspiracy-fantasists that burrowed further into their delusions and fantasies because they felt "vindicated" (even though everything that happened was predictable and predicted to happen using basic data modeling and a knowledge of history. ) , and of course capitalism religion fascism and the combination of the three took advantage of millions of people with fear-mongering to profit off of them. these are all cautionary tales as old as time. and anyone with a basic sci-fi primer would have seen all of these possibilities unfolding. and any humanist would have tried to do their best to prevent the worse of it at least for themselves, and hopefully to their direct community. as for the metaphysical crisis... eh... it is not unique to our time. the human condition IS existential dread. i vote that it is a major factor in what distinguishes us as the technologically advanced species we are.
