  2. Because there is not a war. There has been a civil war in Ukraine since 2014. After the illegal coup, Poroshenko sent soldiers to cleanse Donbass, which did not support the new authorities. And in 2022, they declared independence and invited Russia to help in their struggle. This is how Russia began its military operation. This is NOT A WAR against Ukraine. This is an operation to destroy the illegal government in Ukraine.
