  1. What Cuba has is called communism moron. Socialism is what they used to get but it failed because there is no money coming in to pay for government services. Did you send back your Covid money? No of course not. You think when you use government services you deserve them because you pay taxes but if others use them it's called socialism. You couldn't function in a country where it was 100% user pay. Toll roads and bridges everywhere to pay the upkeep. No healthcare. No government services. You need a drivers test you pay the entire costs of hundreds.

Canada has free healthcare for everyone but you still must pay for prescription based on income or age but the price is subsidized. If you are disabled or a senior you get everything paid for including mobility aids like power chairs. Everyone gets an education but if you want to be a Doctor or Lawyer for example you have to pay back the costs when you begin your career. The US is the only developed country that doesn't offer healthcare to everyone. The democrats are trying to change that and called socialist or communist for it. But is it right for a family to haver to sell their home to pay the costs of a sick child or parent? Just so "for profit" hospitals owned by wealthy people to make money? Communism is where no one owns property or wealth but everyone get a home and a job and an education. In Cambodia a Doctor works for the state. Their education is paid for and they live a comfortable life but it's a career about helping others and not becoming wealthy lifting faces on Hollywood stars. I'm trying to explain it in common terms but every communist or socialist or fascist or democratic system is different. Each has a degree of socialism based on what is often referred to as the "social net". In America the GOP is using these words as just more fear mongering. More ways to divide so some people end up thinking they are paying for others services. My friend is a 44 year old Longshoreman of 26 years. He makes $170,000 a year driving gantry crane but pays over $50,000 in taxes. Yet he has no wife and kids and has a Union medical plan. He's never taken unemployment benefits nor government services. So where does his taxes go? Is that fair? The neighbor is a single mother of 3 who gets what he pays in taxes in welfare and child benefits from the government and pays nothing? Is that fair? Living in a community isn't always even financially but in some society and cultures like the Inuit (eskimos) they all feed and care for the elderly and the sick or disabled. In America the GOP wants to divide everyone by race, wealth, religion, etc. They call caring about others "socialism" and then try to sell it as communism. I guess you have to define what you think is socialism but communism is pretty general and you can understand it by learning about countries like Cambodia's system. But you'll also discover their is a lot of corruption in communist governments. greed is everywhere and caring about others is becoming more rare. I hope I have given you some insight in a manner you can better understand the differences.
