Interest rates have nothing to do with greedfllation that is resulting in record profits by corporations who control everything including our food.

In BC we took strong steps to end this. All trucks must have warning devices and personal accountability is now enforced. One trucking company with 6 bridge strikes was shut down and being sued for the costs. We haven't had one since after an epidemic of bridge strikes around metro Vancouver.
17
O sure. The Conservatives have always cared about the poor. The NDP got dental, pharmacare, and daycare subsidy for working single mothers. Conservatives gave corporations control of everything and now they reap record profits.
13
Can you get any more shallow? Ridiculous
9
Aren't the police responsible for law enforcement? Is there anything Mr. No Policy doesn't blame on Trudeau?
8
Nope. 2025
7
What's strange is viewing an issue in the time and context that eliminates the genocide and atrocities that continue to feed the desperation to try and fight back. How many are killed by those rockets that are always shot down by American defence weapons compared to those killed by jews????
7
@camfuinrules Anyone can point to problems. He just doesn't have any solutions because there are none. Greed has infected every aspect of our lives and conservatives are the last political party who will address that. They serve the greedy and always have.
7
Like when they threw out PP's government 10 years ago???
6
You don't speak for Canada.
6
Because the majority of us know he's as phony as a $3 bill
6
The tax on the wealthy will pay for the dental and pharmacare plan for seniors. Great idea and Canadians will support it.
6
Harper was more hated when him and PP were thrown out in a Trudeau landslide 10 years ago.

From university to the trough. Never had a job. Went directly to the Reform Party and now lives in luxury in Stornoway while also taking a living allowance. The king og trough feeders. With no inheritance he has now a fortune of 32 million. Where did that come from?
5
@autisticfieldmarshall1006 We aren't in a recession. We are enjoying a record economy and jobs market .The surplus was by slashing programs. The economy and job market was dead under Harper thanks to conservative free trade. I see new cars and shopping center parking lots full everywhere. Wages increasing. Just because conservative owned corporate media is selling victimhood doesn't mean conservatives will win anything. We know who they are.
5
@user-ub1gz8lx8c I don't vote Liberal but I lived through half a dozen PMs and the worst were Mulroney and Harper. I don't like Trudeau but he's a minority government. Look around the world. We have a strong economy and record job market compared to most. Great social programs. Inflation is dropping and it's corporate food that's controlling prices which Harper and PP gave them control of. Start being honest and realistic and stop drinking the Kool aid. Homeless is worldwide as is all the other issues. I haven't heard one solution to any problem from PP.
5
@Earl_Family I'm NDP and fortunately live in NDP BC. I agree about Trudeau. That the NDP was able3 to get a federal dental plan and other social programs with their leverage is what they have always done. All these conservative supporters enjoy the great Canadian benefits and freedoms of which none came from their governments.
5
@carlyatkinson4307 Do you see Canadians wanting to work in senior care or hospital orderly jobs? No. Conservatives slashed nurse and teacher training programs to prevent their union growth which created our current shortage. Your racism is always an obstacle to common sense.
5
Yes. And you would all be demanding the reporters imprisonment. Who are you trying to fool? Not Canadians.
5
@handlethiscanadianbacon No disputing the facts. Just a gen z shallow acronym. Typical.
4
@Nowhere_Man_Canaduh When the facts are against you and you have no intelligent reply then the shallow minds reach for the desperate replies.
4
@Mr80jb The Liberals went from third place in the House of Commons with 36 seats to a strong majority government with 184. The Liberals picked up 148 seats which was the biggest numerical increase for a Canadian party since Confederation.
4
You speak for you, not "we". We vote and speak for ourselves.
4
He beat your losers in 3 elections so I guess we do want him more than PP who we threw out with Harper.
4
That's what we said when we threw Harper and PP out of government.
4
As soon as Trudeau steps down things return to normal as in rejecting going back to the government we threw out 10 years ago.
4
You're confusing corporate greed providing their record profits and interest rates. One is not linked to the other.
4
@EagleLeader1 I am old an I got it. It's being phased in and completed by September. The pharmacare saves diabetic seniors a lot. Why don't you tell me what conservatives have done for seniors or the poor in 50 years?
4
@ZenCorvus Learn modern economics. Inflation comes from different avenues today. The current inflation came from injecting money via debt to stimulate the economy after covid. This resulted in a greedflation by corporations wanting to grab that money which has continued to set their record profits. This isn't 1980 inflation.
4
@tedpoplawski4325 The Liberals went from third place in the House of Commons with 36 seats to a strong majority government with 184. The biggest numerical increase for a Canadian party since Confederation. I guess that says it all about how much Canadians liked Harper and PP in government.
3
@ianarchibald1423 Actually the current Liberal government has increased pension and subsidy programs and do make a difference. You can dwell on this global economics as some boogeyman blaming Trudeau but that's not where we failed. It was the destruction of the middle class by destroying unions for corporate profits and political influence where the end began. The fear was unions would drive up prices so all our resources and manufacturing industries died. Free trade was the last blow. Now as prices are out of control the record corporate profits and low wages speak for themselves. Taxpayers fund healthcare instead of union medical plans. When the longshoremen went on strike for a couple weeks to fight automation the conservatives and corporate media blamed them for destroying the economy. With the current automation shipping prices increase with the corporate profits from it. Greedflation and shrinkflation are not Trudeau's fault. It's Conservative government ideology that now makes us slaves to corporations with no middle class and corporations controlling everything including our food. Besides, it's the Reform party running the show now and that's where PP went directly from university. Harper's puppet. You really need to educate yourself on what killed Canada economically and socially.
3
He won't lose his tax payer funded chauffeured car.
3
What to go PP in deflecting from your no policy but blame others campaign. How much did tax payers foot for PP to blame Trudeau for car theft?
3
That's why we through Harper and PP out and elected Trudeau.
3
That's what Canadians said when we threw Harper and PP out of government.
3
Not everyone is a traitor like yourself.
3
Where is the wonder? During PP's government led by Harper the wealthy slumlords were given huge tax breaks to upgrade and renovate but there was no oversight. 90% of the homeless in Vancouver is the rest of a dozen or more such buildings. 7 owned by the same billionaire family. The Federal housing money was deflected to corporate housing. The advocates warned this would be the result but they were ignored. The same occurred in other cities. Otherwise, it's immigration increases and greed. Housing is not an overnight crisis just as solutions take 10 years.
3
How did PP who went from school to the trough amass a worth of 32 million???? Why don't you answer that question since you're throwing out numbers.
3
Conservative game Canadian lives to fight Bush's war. PP was one of them.
3
@derek6044 No. A corporate poll says 50%. Canadians speak for themselves and in the last 3 elections they did as they did in BC and NB. When we have an election they will speak again.
3
Give it up. There will be an election in 2025. We had to wait to throw PP and his puppet master Harper out of government despite them killing our jobs and economy.
2
Asking the Canadian Finance Minister about the Israel war is real journalism??? Get a life.
2
There will be one in the fall. Why be in a rush to lose a 4th time?
2
Housing is an issue dictated by policy 15 years past. Like when PP and Harper were in government they gave massive tax breaks to millionaire and billionaire slumlords without oversight. In the last 5 years 70% of low income housing was condemned as a result. They gave the housing money to corporations. But it's easier for you to blame the government today because you create alternate realities.
2
@sumeshjoseph2471 Crap. Your inability to grasp English makes me wonder if you were here since unemployment was huge. Houses were for sale everywhere because no one could afford them or qualify. Today houses are selling within a week so facts speak for themselves.
2
@Warbossgitsmaka I'm a senior on a pension and can afford to live. I once paid 11% mortgage rates. I remember serious hard times for myself and others during Conservative governments. I remember houses for sale everywhere sitting empty but now they sell within a week. I never saw so many new cars and shopping mall parking lots full in my entire lifetime as I do today.
2
And that's different from every politician how? You don't have to worry about PP because he never says anything except Trudeau is to blame for everything.
2
Property taxes are municipal. Why should tax payers pay yours?
2
The previous government that included PP gave the slumlords massive tax breaks to renovate but had no oversight. Federal housing money was deflected to corporate owned housing. No infrastructure was build back then. It was tax cuts for the rich with programs slashed until the job market and economy died. In Vancouver alone one billionaire family had 12 buildings condemned for safety after 2 decades of warning that this would be the result. It's no mystery to those of us who lived it.
2
@camfuinrules Does Trudeau set grocery prices and rent? In BC the minimum wage goes up to 17.80 next month. Union contracts are really good. Unfortunately conservative killed 80% of the union jobs so most are stuck with corporate wages. You name one thing that Trudeau is directly responsible for. In Vancouver most every homeless person is from the buildings condemned because Harper gave the housing money to corporations now raising rent. Slumlords got huge tax breaks to renovate but no oversight so they did nothing. Immigration is what made corporations who left with free trade to come back with their money by bring the slaves here. I'm not drinking the Kool aid. I've watched it all unfold over decades and every warning came true. Just like extreme weather.
