I think that the movie Baby Boy spoke to all of us that were in those situations like I said my sister even named her son Jodie because that movie resonated with her so much I think that people who are not resonating with this movie simply were not in those situations and baby boy is not as glamorous as movies like Boyz in the Hood or Menace to Society those movies made hood life seem entertainingly thrilling there was nothing really admirable about any of the characters in baby boy in my opinion

Usually he does not make good on our expectations because they don't have to because "he's a good guy" it's like that movie acrimony ... The guy was a "good guy" that lived off his wife for 15 years until the point they lost they house but because he "treated her well" thats acceptable ... Why ???

So they engage in discussions and life ..as if they themselves can't oppress or subjugate black women .. when they do oppress us and refusing to be more financial capable is one of ways while telling us we should be ride or die and hold them down because the system has been keeping them down ... It's another justification not to provide and build your own community..

Lots of women are economically responsible with they womb .. men are not as responsible with they sperm ... Again the odds are simply against us to partner with low earning men and that does not even address the wealth issue and the ability to pass down money and assets ... We are only talking about the ability to provide a stable environment ... Why purposely choose to struggle ??? It's honestly not about poor people being bad it's about gender rolls in a patriarchal society ... Black men want to be treated and hailed as leaders but don't want to do the work of a leader.. and I can promise you when u get with these poor men they want every bit of submission a wealthy man gets ... Why ? He has not earned it ... And that entitlement is what crates an issue .. I don't even think woman should be submitting to wealth men let alone poor men ..

As unprivileged as we all are we still live in the United States and have the opportunity to do very well for ourselves and our community.. it's not wrong to live a humble life .. it's wrong to perpetuate poverty and extremely low standards .. now do I think poor people shouldn't have children no .. do I think everything need an extravagant lifestyle no .. but because we live in a capitalist society it's unfair for men not to find women that also have a desire to live a humble life ... Men will promise women the world of we just help them build .. while we have they babies and fund they dreams ... Only to see our children suffer ... And the man moves on to his "high value" lifestyle with someone else .. or just stays a bum forever ... And goes on to use the next woman ...
