Tom, I personally have been overwhelmed with facebook's new advertising system and have had a terrible experience with Trumps recent election and all of the overwhelming hate, trolls and personal protests where people seem to feel they have a voice on such a platform. it was so bad that I decided to leave the platform earlier this month and really focus on my studies, feeling its become replaced with web 2.0 apps like Instagram (yes, its own) snapchat, etc which are reported to have more happier users a simpler interface and a more dedicated platform since I've left I found how much of youth/young adult started doing the same thing and reporting happier more predictive lives in the long run. I'd say facebook is finally starting to lose its luster- those active users could easily be bots and the accusations with negative use and bad privacy makes more sense to walk away from
