Most people can't live like that, and even those who can, can do it only for a while. Most people have school, college, jobs, families, medical problems, and we all get old. You can't live out of a suitcase and go to college, raise a child, work, or be old. This "minimalist" lifestyle is a luxury that only a small minority can enjoy for a while.

Also, if you had a roof over your head, slept on a bed, washed yourself in a shower, dried yourself with towels, used plates and cutlery to eat food that was cooked with ovens, pots, pans, and knives, did your laundry at a laundromat and dried it in a tumble dryer, you weren't living out of two suitcases. Just because you don't own the things you use doesn't mean they don't count. In fact, you could afford your "minimalist" lifestyle thanks to super non-minimalist people who own things like beds and washing machines not to use them, but so that strangers like you can use them.
