@robotron17 Because you can never be 100% sure that you won't get seriously ill or die, and that being ill can have big consequences for your health even if you don't die?

@robotron17 There's only a small chance that your house will be burglarized or destroyed by fire. Should people stop paying insurance for their house? There's only a small chance you'll get into a car crash. Should we stop wearing seatbelts? There's only a small chance you'll be attacked by a stranger. Should we stop avoiding going outside alone at night, carrying self-defence tools that are legal in our countries, and taking precautions like not listening to music while jogging, because a distracted person is an easier prey for an attacker? There's only a small chance that your computer will be hacked. Should we stop avoiding public wifi, using VPN, and putting passwords on our wifi?

@robotron17 There's only a small chance that you'll be a victim of identity fraud. Should we stop taking precautions like being really careful about who we show our ID to or making sure no mail for you will arrive in your old house after you've moved? What are the odds that a letter with your information will get into the hands of criminals who'll use it to buy thousands of euros worth of stuff on your name? The odds are practically zero! Until it happens to you like it happened to me 😷🤒🤕🤧
