It also might not be what you think it is. I’m not trying to get you to buy anything I’m saying or whatever, of course you should think for yourself. But it’s because you seem to think for yourself that I think you looking into genuine anarchism would be fruitful. Let me know if you’re interested at all:)

  8.  @sr2291  well yeah but not because our policies aren’t popular. It’s because electoral politics are heavily gatekept by corporate donors and propaganda influencing people. Revolution is needed since playing within this gatekept system is a losing battle.

  16.  @anthonyfisher6051  Yes. That is very wrong haha. That's a definition which has arisen from propaganda about anarchism. Anarchism is actually the social system which would produce the MOST order out of any other, as it seeks to maximize how self-organized people are in society so they can directly address their own shared interests. Anarchism is a philosophy which seeks to dismantle all coercive power relations and maximize power for everyone. It's the farthest left ideology you can get. You may hear some definitions which are similar but just using different words, such as "anarchism is an ideology which seeks to abolish all unjust hierarchies." Some examples of unjust, or non consentual, or non-mutualist hierarchies include capitalism, corporate tyrannies, the state, white supremacy, patriarchy, cis-hetero-normativity, ecological hierarchies, racism, sexism, and much more.

  17.  @anthonyfisher6051  I do know what you mean! which is why anarchism accounts for that and is actually the ideal system whether everyone is a bad actor or not. In anarchism, even if you assume everyone is evil, any let's say, "evil" people are now the MOST accountable to other people (even if they're also evil) which minimizes the harm they can do. Decisions would be done using a consensus system where any proposal can be opposed by anyone affected by it, and the decision is changed through compromise to maximize satisfaction of everyone involved until the majority vote is expanded as much as possible until ideally reaching consensus. This gets rid of any issues of majoritarianism as dissenting minorities will have to have a say in decisions and people are forced to work together in order to maximize their overall interests. So even in a society where 100% of people are completely selfish and untrustworthy, everyone else is also selfish and untrustworthy, and so everyone has an incentive still to keep each other in line so they don't backstab each other or so that their own selfish desires aren't trampled. So whether people are altruistic or not, anarchism is still the ideal system for the benefit of everyone. Basically, all that centralized power does is give more power and incentive for people to be bad actors with less accountability without actually getting rid of those bad actors. Benevolent dictatorships are still very problematic.
