  1.  @JimJamTheAdmin  I’m not saying it’s a reasonable choice, I’m just saying there is a choice and basically always is, the coercion is the limiting of your choices. There’s little fundamentally different between getting food and shelter to do gruelling work or else die vs getting paid a wage to do work or else suffer and maybe even die, one is just more amplified than the other.

  17.  @gunjansharma548  that’s exactly what we are talking about. You ARE being obtuse. Practically anything can be art, especially something that is created as a representation of something else. An idol is something that you worship or desire to be like, if you can’t imagine even a single instance where someone could create something considered a statue that doesn’t fit within that, you’re either an idiot or dishonest. I could make a statue of Hitler naked and jerking off, irony exists. Statues are an easy and obvious way to idolize something publicly but it isn’t inherent. We just tend to create art out of things that inspire us positively rather than negatively.
