@nicolasceresoli9121 I looked into what you're talking about, just a read of wikipedia and it seems like there's a reasonable case to believe he engaged in corruption if you believe them after hearing about the biases of the judges which convicted him and stuff. I'm not knowledgeable to say for sure but gun to my head, it seems like he did engage in some kind of corruption maybe. Which is obviously bad and wrong and indefensible. Regardless though, it seems like he in practice is the best candidate brazil has by a long shot and has done a lot of immense good for the country, so I still see it as something to be happy about. If I had to guess, (I'm not defending it, again just a guess) I'd guess that the corrupt actions he did were probably relattively normal for the position and every other president probably engaged in them, but biases of the judges lead to them not tolerating the corruption this time. Which they shouldn't have of course, but I highly question the idea that Bolsonaro, a fascist, didn't engage in anything close to what lula may have done.
