  1. My read of that is : Pistons DON'T interfere with the Valves but the Valves CAN hit each other . That Timing Belt stripped at the Crank BUT was still Tensioned . Ergo the Cams were still correctly timed to EACH OTHER . That Engine simply needed a Belt . 99.99994% . It was CERTAINLY worth the Smoke Test .
