I Knew the Ticking was a Big End Straight away . And kinda figured it was the Lateral Force affecting the Oil system , before you said it . Having a Transverse designed Engine mounted Longitudinally is what I thought would be the issue . Dry sump would certainly remedy it I believe . Also , although Remarkably Powerful , Motorcycle Engines are not really designed to pull so much weight . You could try a Goldwing 1800 Engine .

Cardboard assist . Love it . Old School . Before them thar new-fangled 'puter doo-hickeys . What about a Goldwing Engine ? Still 9500 RPM . Less Power as such . More than twice the Torque though I would think . GL engines WERE basically a Car engine installed in a Motorcycle . Honda S1800 . 6 cylinder howl .
