The Two Manifold styles have different purposes . A well designed and manufactured Log Style can produce TWO strong Pulses , whereas , the Equal Length type produces FOUR slower ones . Comes down to how the rest of the Engine is Set Up . Valve Timing , Turbo Size , and is it variable ? Ignition and Fuel Map . Both are good depending on desired OUTCOME . Log Style can be , and ARE , produced in Steel rather than Iron . One part of the Equation only . Diesels go better with Log . Petrol with Equal Length . A Generality . Race Diesel is Turbo Compounded . Tow pack Petrol would prefer Log style Manifolds . Blah , blah , blah....................... I am not criticising BTW . It all comes down to the APPLICATION .
