  1. Good for YOU ! Riding a Motorcycle DOES have a LOT of Intuition to it , however , there ARE some Definitely Counter-intuitive Techniques need learning . Yes , moving Body-weight can Steer you , BUT , Fast or INSTANT Emergency direction changes can ONLY be done through the Handlebars . There ARE some good Videos out there on Handling and Braking Techniques . Yes , your prior Road Use experience is Important for the reasons You said . Welcome to the Club . I rode every day for 35 years . Not these days . I AM Old . Never broke a Bone . But BE ASSURED , you WILL drop it more than once . Part of the learning curve . Have Fun .
