NATO doesn't wage war in the traditional sense you're right. They use clandestine ops to undermine states by sowing revolution, proxy wars, and economic warfare to cripple states. This is arguably a much worse threat. This war was provoked. The US backed a Ukrainian coup to install an anti-Russian puppet government in 2014. We have arms and alleged bio-weapons and a lot of dirty money and influence in Ukraine and we're sending more. NATO crept closer and closer to the Russian border and armed the place with missiles all the while Russian officials repeated NATO was crossing the line for decades. There's very good parallels to the US/Cuba crisis and the invasion of Kuwait. We nearly invaded Cuba because they were Russian allies with Russian weapons. We invaded Kuwait for a simple reason. Control over the oil trade and creation of the petrodollar so we could expand in power and influence. The US role in the war is to eliminate competition on their power by prolonging this war as long as possible. State officials have in official capacity said as much: "the reason is to whittle down Putin's power". If the blood of thousands of more Ukrainians and Russians have to grease the wheel of the military industrial complex so be it. Last year there were discussions of peace but Boris Johnson as a representative of the western alliance personally talked Zelenskyy out of it. Putin has kept open peace channels indefinitely but the west refuses. This is a proxy war and we're using Ukranian bodies and hundreds of billions of tax payer dollars to fight it. We have very little idea where our arms/USD are actually going. There's evidence to suggest without our support the conflict would already be over. The US wants a long drawn out war. We don't care who it hurts. Remember we blew up a major pipeline Europeans relied on to heat their homes to hurt the Russians and tried to blame it on them. Putin made a huge mistake underestimating US tolerance for supporting a long bloody conflict. His men, the Ukrainian men, and to a lesser but literal degree American taxpayers, are paying the price no one but US state officials and Haliburton (but I repeat myself) were expecting. Why do we continue to steal from struggling US citizens to defend a border on the other side of the world when our southern border is wide open? (Hint the state's goals are not aligned with its citizens)

Malcolm do a video on AI warfare. Israel is using a system called "Lavender" to indiscriminately blow up thousands of suspected members of Hamas while they're at home sleeping with their families. Of the 110,000 casualties 70% are women and children. Of the remaining 30% it is unknown what percent are/aren't innocent Palestinian men (The IDF would have you believe no Palestinian man is innocent).
