  2. to be fair the rates of deaths and serious injury among motorists to themselves, other motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians is intolerably high. It's insane we're all expected to pay for a costly several ton vehicle and must drive an hour plus to work amongst a sea of other vehicles going deadly speeds all around you every day. In many places in America half or more of your labor goes directly to paying for the transportation just to get you to work.
